This is a deer that was named "Moose" for obvious reasons. The first time he was noticed was in 2004 and I called him a 4 year old buck then and put him off limits until he reached at least 6 years old. He was a mid 190's class buck at 4. At 5years old he was a little bigger. At 6 years old he was bigger yet, but Mr. Corbin decided to let him go another year. |
In 2007 Moose grew his largest set of antlers and when we found his shed antlers we had a B & C scorer score the sheds and determine spread from photos and he scored Moose at 232" gross B&C inches. Moose was 7 years old then. Mr. Corbin decided to let him go one more year so that he could keep spreading his genes thru the herd and finally harvested Moose in 2008 at 8.5 years old.
